Inspire with creative expression
At TEDx Sammamish Women, art is more than decoration — it’s a way of thinking, feeling, and expanding what’s possible. Artists, makers, performers, and creative visionaries help shape the atmosphere. Your work becomes part of the experience: the energy that greets guests, the moments that spark reflection, and the expressions that stay with people long after the day ends.

Who We Welcome…
What We’re Looking For…
We’re seeking pieces and performances that:
Spark curiosity or reflection
Celebrate identity, culture, or lived experience
Invite connection or participation
Offer beauty, joy, or emotional resonance
Align with the spirit of Worthy. Powerful Beyond Measure.
»
Your contribution may be positioned throughout the event experience. We are considering these places within the venue:
on display in the venue’s lobby and social gathering area (ex. visual, literary, interactive experiences)
integrated into the event flow (ex. musical, movement-based, audio, video)
a stage experience (ex. dance, theatrical, somatic experience)
In your application, you can share where you think your contribution would fit within our program.

Where Your Work May Fit…
We’ll announce in September when our application process is open and the deadline for applications.
You’ll complete our online form telling us about yourself, your contribution proposal, and share samples of your work.
We’ll review applications based on:
Alignment with TEDx values
Work that complements the event’s theme and resonance with our attendees
Equipment, setup, takedown and overall space needs
Duration of time and overall fit into event agenda (stage performances will be considered when <5 minutes in length)
Qualitative considerations such as:
How does this connect with our theme or the experiences we’re creating?
How might this invoke curiosity, reflection?
What does this uniquely offer in terms of beauty, joy, positive emotional responses, or something else?
How does this celebrate our community?
After our review process is complete (expected late September/early October), we’ll update all applicants on the results.
We’ll work with the selected artists from through event day on the details and logistics.

How We Select…
-
Submissions for stage performances must not exceed 5 minutes due to overall program limitations.
Other performances such as musical interludes or vocal experiences can also occur off the main stage during breaks and mingling. Time allocations can potentially exceed 5 minutes and if your proposal is selected, we’ll work with you on defining the amount of time you will be given.
-
For main stage performances, there will be access to a microphone. Venue lobby area does not have audio amplification but have electrical outlets as needed. Please assume you will need to bring anything you need for your performance.
-
We will make decisions based on the submissions we receive and the space we have within our program. We’re excited to see the proposals and put the final touches on the event plan!
-
We expect most of the artistic contributions to happen within the lobby area and will finalize once we’ve reviewed submissions and select proposals.
-
We cannot accept late submissions. We welcome you to consider a proposal for future events.
-
Due to the volume of interest and proposals we receive, we are unable to provide feedback. Our goal is to notify submitters by late September/early October.
