ABOUT

Watch new TED talks together, then turn big ideas into real conversation.

Experience talks before published. And, not every talk will.

We’ll gather in one room, stream a curated set of talks from TED’s flagship conference, and make space for low‑key small‑group discussion about how these ideas land in our own lives and community.

FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

  • TED has been the space for world-changing talks, deep conversations, and bold ideas.

Every year, TED hosts conferences to bring together a global group of expert thinkers and doers across a wide range of fields to help share new ideas.

This year’s conference is being held in Vancouver, B.C. April 13-17 with the theme “All of Us”. Learn more: TED2026.

  • TEDxSammamish Live is our all-volunteer, locally licensed TEDxLive event. TEDxLive events are opportunities for local communitieis to experience the flagship TED Conference without traveling to the conference itself. We gather in person to watch a curated set of talks from the TED conference, then create space for conversation and connection around the ideas shared.

  • This event is a TED on‑demand viewing experience, not a full slate of local speakers. The talks themselves are recorded at the most recent TED conference (April 2026 in Vancouver B.C.); our TEDxSammamish Live gathering focuses on experiencing a few of the talks together and making space for reflection and conversation afterward.

  • We’re planning for Saturday, May 2, with the main program from 2:00–5:00 pm. The event will be at Kirkland Woman’s Club; once you register, we’ll send exact address, parking, and accessibility details.

  • We’re still figuring that out! There’s so many to choose from! Share your suggestions on our social media channels so we know what interests you.

  • Anyone curious about TED 2026 “All of Us” conference and newest TED Talks along with an afternoon of ideas, reflection, and connection. Come solo or with a friend; you don’t need any prior TEDx experience to feel at home.

  • We want to offer flexible pricing while also covering our costs. We’re an all-volunteer event, so all ticket sales directly support our operational and event costs.

Partner tickets allow us to give space to our local businesses and entrepreneurs.

General admission and youth tickets (using discount code 26TEDXYOUTH) are intended to encourage people of all ages to attend.
